Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ProofIn ("Service"), operated by ProofIn ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organization. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@proofin.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
2. The Service
ProofIn provides a platform for organizations to create events, issue tamper-proof digital certificates to participants, and allow third parties to verify those certificates using a unique hash. The Service is offered as-is with features and plans as described on our pricing page.
3. Plans and Billing
Free Plan
The Free plan is available at no cost and is subject to the usage limits published on our pricing page (currently: 1 organization, 3 events, 50 certificates per event, 1 member).
Paid Plans
Paid plans (Starter, Pro) are billed monthly. You authorize us to charge your chosen payment method via Stripe (USD) or Xendit (IDR) on a recurring basis. Prices are listed on our pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Upgrades and Downgrades
You may upgrade at any time; changes take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. Downgrading below your current usage levels is blocked until you reduce usage accordingly.
Cancellation
You may cancel at any time via billing settings. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free plan. We do not prorate partial-month cancellations.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use ProofIn to:
- —Issue fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive certificates
- —Impersonate any organization, institution, or individual without authorization
- —Upload data you do not have the right to use
- —Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- —Violate any applicable law, including data protection regulations governing your participants' personal data
- —Send unsolicited commercial communications to participants
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.
5. Your Content and Data
You retain ownership of all participant data, certificate content, and other materials you upload ("Your Content"). By using ProofIn you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service.
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to collect and process your participants' personal data and for complying with applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR or UU PDP).
6. Certificate Verification
ProofIn generates a cryptographic hash for each certificate to enable tamper-proof verification. While we take reasonable steps to ensure the integrity of this system, we do not guarantee that verification results will be accepted by third parties (employers, institutions, etc.) as a substitute for original documentation.
7. Intellectual Property
The ProofIn platform — including its code, design, trademarks, and documentation — is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
8. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROOFIN AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AND EMPLOYEES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ProofIn and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay fees, or if required by law. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination in case you need to export it, after which it will be deleted.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to account owners at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia. Any disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Jakarta, Indonesia, except where otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
